A Big Beautiful Question
Dear Editor:
I have one big beautiful question regarding Trump’s big beautiful bill: Who will we borrow the money from?
Trump’s bill will add several trillion dollars to our national debt, and much of that expense comes in the form of tax breaks for the rich.
Our current debt is largely owed to the same rich parties who will be getting these tax breaks. And they love to loan out money for our national debt; because, they get a hefty return on a risk-free investment.
Who else can afford to loan out trillions of dollars? I doubt any rumors that our government is borrowing much from foreign governments. Perhaps there is no one else that can afford the price except the same parties already receiving the interest on our national debt.
As I see things, the tax payers are giving a mind boggling gift to the richest parties in America. We can’t possibly afford the price. So we are borrowing the money from the same parties receiving the gift. They get their money back in the form of tax breaks. But the really big prize will be the interest on the loan. It will continue in perpetuity.
