Charlotte M. Cutler, 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on April 8, 2026, following a brief but brave battle with cancer. In her final days, she showed the same quiet strength and fierce independence that had shaped her life, holding on to both with grace until the very end. Known lovingly to her family as “Sherry,” she was a steady source of strength and a constant light of joy to all who knew her best.

Born on August 23, 1941, in Anaconda to Michael J. and Mary Alice (Levick) Frankovich, Charlotte was truly a daughter of the mountains who later found her home beneath the warmth of the desert sun. She began her career in the chemistry lab at Anaconda Copper Company before following her creative spirit into cosmetology. As a hairstylist, she found genuine joy in helping others feel their best, treasuring not only the artistry of her work but the laughter, stories, and connections shared in “the shop” throughout her years.

Charlotte had a style all her own—effortless, memorable, and unmistakably hers. Alongside her sisters, she became known for a signature look: crisp white blouse, collar popped just right, paired with jeans and sandals. Whether she was quietly reading among the birds and flowers in her backyard or traveling far and wide, she carried a lighthearted spirit wherever she went. A natural prankster, she delighted in humor and had a gift for perfectly timed one-liners. Some of the family’s most treasured moments were spent camping, surrounded by nature and the people she loved most. And whenever a favorite song played, she never missed a chance to dance—right where she stood.

Her kitchen was a place of warmth and comfort, known especially for her lemon meringue pie and banana bread. But more than anything she made or said, it was Charlotte’s heart that left the deepest impression. She was a devoted listener, always ready to lend her time, her wisdom, and her kindness to anyone who needed it.

Charlotte is reunited in eternal rest with her loving husband, Jack Cutler Sr.; her parents, Michael and Mary Alice (Levick) Frankovich; her brother, Michael J. Frankovich Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Tom Sirginson, Tim Mix, Larry Riley Sr., and Les Hawthorne; her nephew, David Sirginson; and her niece, Linda Riley.

She is survived by her loving children and their families:

Jack Jr. (Leann) Cutler of Las Vegas, NV, and grandchildren, Travis Cutler and Justin Cutler.

Lori (Trees Segers) Cutler of Berthoud, CO, grandson Zach (Danni) Cutler-Orrey of Fremont, CA, and great-grandson Jay Cutler-Orrey.

She leaves behind her beloved siblings: Mary Ann Riley (Anaconda, MT), JoAnne Sirginson (Anaconda, MT), Ruth Mix (Hamilton, MT), John (Dora) Frankovich (Vernal, UT), Nancy (Jim) Connors (Anaconda, MT), Kathy (Larry) Parks (Anaconda, MT), Janie Hawthorne (Anaconda, MT), Patricia Bieber (Anchorage, AK), and Gary (Sunny) Frankovich (West Virginia).

Service Information

Cremation has taken place in Las Vegas. Charlotte will be returning home to the Big Sky Country she loved so dearly. Funeral services will be held on August 1, 2026, at Holy Family Church in Anaconda, followed by her interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. There, she will finally rest peacefully among her Montana mountains, reunited with her loved ones in the place where her story began.
