Debbie Darlene Fergerson Meloy

Debbie Darlene Fergerson Meloy passed away on October 4, 2025 at the age of 67. She was a beloved mom, daughter, sister, partner and friend.

Debbie was the daughter of Arthur and Mariella Fergerson. She was born on July 4, 1958 in Anaconda, MT. Debbie lived her entire life in Anaconda and never wanted to be anywhere else. She graduated from Anaconda High School in 1976. She went on to work various jobs in Anaconda including Osco Drug, Anaconda Job Corp, Copper Bowl Cafe, and the WATCh Program.

Debbie married Tim Meloy in December 1978. They raised two children, Shanda and T.C., before they later divorced. Debbie then spent the remainder of her years with her partner Steve Tuss. Debbie and Steve enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, camping, and many other activities and adventures together.

Debbie spent many summers with her grandchildren, Ian and Jase, who would visit from Arizona. They enjoyed camping at the Big Hole, four-wheeling in the mountains, trips to Crystal Park, and just spending time together.

Debbie loved being active and outdoors. She often told stories of spending the summers working in Alder with her dad, Art. She loved sports and played adult softball and volleyball for many years. She had a green thumb and took great pride in her many plants. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with her two labs, Doolie and Shimmer. Most recently, Debbie loved watching her favorite movies including; Seven Days in Utopia, Hell or High Water, Tin Cup and The Legend of Bagger Vance.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Shanda; son, T.C. (Courtney); grandchildren, Ian and Jase; brother, Chuck (Mona); sister, Wanda (Mike); and partner, Steve.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Mariella Fergerson; and grandparents, Eli and Daisy Todorovich.

In keeping with Debbie’s wishes, no services are planned at this time.

A special thank you to Anaconda Community Hospital, Anaconda Nursing Home, and Anaconda Hospice for their care and compassion.
