Elks gets $4K grant for food bank

Published by admin on Wed, 03/04/2026 - 15:24

Anaconda Elks Lodge No. 239 Exalted Ruler Shawn Hansen, third from right, joined by fellow Elks members Duane Brugman, left, Margaret Ulstad, Errol Eileraas and Betty Ann Eileraas present a $4,000 donation to Joan Wilder, middle, and Terry Vaughn with the Project Care Food Bank to help purchase food for local families in need. This contribution was made possible through the Elks National Foundation’s Beacon Grant Parogram, which are designed to address critical community issues and require active lodge involvement. “There is a definite need in Anaconda-Deer Lodge County to help keep Project Care’s shelves stocked, and it is a privilege to support both the organization and our community,” Hansen said.
