Frances E. Streifel

Frances E. Streifel, 75, passed away on July 16, 2023 with her family by her side.

Fran was born in Richardson, ND on March 9, 1948 to Tony and Ruth Steiner.

She married Don Streifel on June 27, 1966. They were married for over 52 years at the time of his passing in 2018. They were blessed with two daughters, Sue and Julie.

Fran worked as a cook at the Park Café and then at Warm Springs where she retired from.

After Fran retired she spent time with her husband and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved to crochet blankets which everyone loved. She donated many blankets to the nursing home and assisted living.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband Don Streifel, parents Tony and Ruth Steiner, in-laws Tony and Elizabeth Streifel, granddaughter Megan Finnegan, sisters-in-law Mary Lou Streifel, Rosie Whitaker and Diane Krause, brothers-in-law Elvie Krause and George Calhoun.

Fran is survived by her daughters Sue (Dick) Johnson, Julie (Doug) Daily of Spokane Washington, grandchildren Ashley of Elko, NV and Greg, Kennedy and Cody Johnson of Anaconda, sisters Marlene (Ed) Ruttenbur of Oregon and Setona (Mike) Sullivan of Anaconda, brother-in-law Leo Streifel of Great Falls, sister-in-law Fran Calhoun of Anaconda, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Fran has been cremated, and at her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
