Frances Lowman

Frances Lowman passed away peacefully December 21, 2023, with her family surrounding her. She was a treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and neighbor. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Fran Lowman was born on March 29, 1940 in Anaconda, MT, to Frances (Scarry) Sestrich and Joseph Sestrich. Her mother died after childbirth. Fran was raised by her aunt, uncle, and father.
Fran attended Catholic schools and graduated from Anaconda Central Catholic High School in 1958. She then attended Montana State University in Bozeman, MT where she majored in Secondary Education in Art and Home Economics.
While at Montana State University, Fran met the love of her life, Samuel Lowman. After their graduation, they were married on November 25, 1962.
Sam was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and was promptly stationed in Germany. While they were in Heidelberg, Germany, they had three sons. First born was James Lowman, and then later they had twins, Kenneth and Keith Lowman.
The young family returned from Germany in 1965. Their family moved around the Northwest
(Washington, Oregon, and Idaho), while following Sam’s successful professional career first in the aluminum industry and then later in the food industry.
A few years after their boys graduated from college, Fran and Sam settled in Twin Falls, ID, where they have been in residence since 1989.
Fran and Sam have been active members of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church and the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Fran enjoyed many pursuits, including camping, fishing, gardening, growing roses, golfing, and playing bridge.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Remaining family include her husband of 61 years, Samuel; sons: James and wife, Carole, Saint Francisville, LA, Kenneth and fiancé, Cecilia Santaniello, Las Vegas, NV, Keith and wife, Cindy, Lynden, WA; granddaughter, Katie Lane and husband, Jon, Amarillo, TX; grandsons: Andrew, Great Falls, MT and Aidan, Butte, MT; great-granddaughters: Thea and Everleigh Lane; sister, Marguerite Beatty, Butte, MT; brother, Joe Sestrich and wife, Peg, Edmonds, WA; niece, Sally Tish, Scottsdale, AZ; nephews: JJ and David Sestrich, Seattle, WA.
A memorial service for Frances will on July 19,2024 at 1:00p.m. at Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home, 107 Oak Street, in Anaconda. There will be a graveside service to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Anaconda.
