Frank Lotar Voyles

Frank Lotar Voyles passed away on December 21, 2023, at Anaconda Community Hospital. He was comforted by family members. 

Frank was born in Germany to parents Anne and Roy Voyles on September 1, 1950. He grew up and was educated in Germany. The family came to the United States and lived in Great Falls. 

Frank attended the University of Montana for a year. Returning to Great Falls, he joined the United States Marines. He was stationed in San Diego as a PVT. That was on October 25, 1974.  He did a Tour in Vietnam and was distinguished with honor as a Sergeant. 

He met the love of his life Irene Sedminik and they married on August 2, 1981. They resided in Butte for a while then moved to Anaconda to be closer to Irene’s family. 

Frank was an avid chess player. He loved to play whenever he had a chance. Frank loved his pink Cadillac and Airplanes. He had his pilot license.  There was nothing he didn’t know about airplanes and would remind you of it whenever he saw you.

He and Irene traveled with the family. They had no children but adored niece Jessica’s son, Cooper. 

Frank will be greatly missed especially his impersonation of Elvis Presley “Thank you Very Much.” 

Frank was preceded in death by his father Roy Voyles and is mother and father-in-law Ann & John Sedminik.

He is survived by his mother Ann Voyles, brother-in-law John (Sue) Sedminik, nephew John Michael Sedminik, niece Jessica (Steve) Stevens, and great nephew Cooper Ryan Stevens. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Mark, Dr. Cook, the nurses and staff at the Anaconda Community Hospital for all of their compassionate care and the Anaconda Fire Department and Ambulance Crew for all their help the past year.

Family suggests memorials to:  St. Jude Childrens Hospital, Toys for Tots PO Box 1043 Anaconda Mt 59711, VFW of Anaconda, or donor’s choice.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
