Gloria Ruth Carron Foard

Published by admin on Fri, 07/28/2023 - 10:19

Gloria Ruth Carron Foard was born in Anaconda, Montana on the 4th of July in 1932 to Matilda (Murray) and Henry Carron. “Peachie” was a firecracker from the start! She led a long vibrant life touching the hearts of everyone who crossed her path on her life’s journey before peacefully passing at the age of 90 at her home in Anthem, Arizona, on June 26, 2023.

Gloria’s sweet, fun, faith-based, family-filled and adventurous spirit started from growing up in Anaconda. In a sense, Gloria grew up within a real-life slide show right out of Norman Rockwell’s portrait imagination. She enjoyed ice skating, fly-fishing, shooting, playing marbles, popping her cap gun wearing her cowboy hat and chaps. She often frolicked with her dog Trixie while soaking up the serene outdoors of Montana. Most of all, she enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family and visiting relatives. Gloria attended St. Peter’s Catholic School and graduated from Anaconda High School in 1950. She eventually earned a Business degree from Santa Monica Community College in Santa Monica, California.

Gloria always embodied a hard work ethic which first began at a young age as a carhop on roller skates at Bill’s Drive-In in Anaconda. She also worked in medical billing for a local doctor in Anaconda, as an award winning licensed cosmetologist in Butte, Montana, and as a secretary in Helena, Montana. Later in her life, Gloria worked for nearly a decade for Anaconda-Deer Lodge County as a Deputy District Court Clerk and then as a Deputy County Treasurer before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked for Clark County as a Deputy County Recorder. She then moved to Marina Del Rey, California, and worked as an International Legal Assistant for Unocal 76 Corporate Headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. She later joined Western Atlas/Litton Industries in Beverly Hills, California, as their Senior Executive Legal Assistant for the Securities and Finance Counsel before returning to Las Vegas. Gloria continued her corporate career as the Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO, President and VP of Cashman Equipment. She later joined Wells Fargo Bank Institutional Trust and Custody Financial Center as their Senior Executive Assistant. She finally settled in Anthem, Arizona, in 2003, where she reluctantly agreed to retire at the age of 70.

Gloria tirelessly expanded her knowledge and talents, giving 100% of herself to become the best at any personal or professional challenge that came her way. Gloria’s radiant inner beauty was equally reflected in her outer beauty, as her graceful presence lit up any room. She was compassionate, generous, comforting, fun, well dressed, witty, sentimental, loving, wise and always helped anyone in need. Gloria held herself with integrity and was respectful to everyone. She was a strong, amazing, determined, courageous, tenderhearted, resilient and gentle soul who genuinely was a kid-at-heart. “Peachie” was truly the epitome of an Angel on Earth – now, she soars as one in Heaven.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Matilda Carron; sister, Lorraine Petronek; former husband, W. Harold Foard; and many dear family members from the Murray, Carron, Jones, John and Noyd families of Anaconda. She is survived by her three daughters: Anne Lorraine Kruppa, Teresa Gloria (Steve) Driver and Michelle Margaret Foard; nephew, Kerry (Kris) Petronek; and her three grandsons, Robert, Reid, and Roy Kruppa. She is also survived by many additional dear family members; Denise Noyd, Jared Noyd, Jordan (Olivia) Noyd, Wenonah Jones and family, Kyler Petronek, Beth Ottersberg and her miniature Shih-Tzu “Cookie”.

Visitation for all family and friends will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Anaconda on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., with a rosary/vigil service at 6:00 p.m.  Gloria’s funeral mass for all family and friends will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest following mass at her family’s graveside at Mount Olivet Cemetery. After interment, there will be a luncheon for all family and friends to attend at Holy Family Catholic Church in Anaconda.

Messinger Mortuary and Cremation Services in Scottsdale, Arizona, has been privileged to care for Gloria and her family.
