Harry Edward Dziak July 26, 1943 – October 26, 2023

Harry “Popsi” Edward Dziak, 80, died October 26, 2023 at Saint Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana. He was born in 1943 to Emery and Mary Dziak at Saint Ann’s Hospital in Anaconda, Montana and was the second youngest of 8 children.
Harry graduated from Anaconda Central High School in 1961. He worked as a welder at the Anaconda Copper Mining Company and then became a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard.
He was greatly influenced by music and eventually learned how to play the guitar, accordion and was a natural born singer. Harry and a group of his high school friends formed the band The Z-Ons, playing local dances and eventually became the house band for Anaconda’s Club 919. He later formed a band known as the Zacks with his brother Joe Dziak. With his deep love for God, he enjoyed sharing his music in churches. He was actively involved in Holy Family and Saint Peter’s Cathedral in Anaconda, and The Cathedral of Saint Helena.
His passion for education started by pursuing Junior Accounting at Butte Business College, Business Administration at the University of Montana, and ultimately received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology at Montana State University. He then went on to receive his Master’s in Social Work from Eastern Washington University in Cheney.
He worked at Warm Springs State Hospital, Shodair Children’s Hospital and eventually retired after 30 years from the State of Montana in Helena as a Health Care Facility Surveyor.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Emery and Mary Dziak; his brothers John, Frank, and Willie Dziak and his sister Mary Lou Sullivan. He leaves his son Christopher (Kelly) Dziak, daughter Krysta Dziak and stepdaughter Rae Lynn (Kenny) Nielsen. Grandchildren Kayden and Lyric Dziak, Mackenna Hanson and Savanna McNellis. Siblings Joanne (Ronald “Bud”) Monroe, Joe (Anna) Dziak, George Dziak and many nieces and nephews.
With his continuous gift for helping others and his love for making people smile, Popsi always did and still does what he does best even in his passing, Bring. People. Together. NOSTROVIA!
A funeral mass will take place in Anaconda, MT in the Spring of 2024. An announcement will be made at a later date.
