Jack Malee Drescher

Jack Malee Drescher, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 64, as a result of injuries from a horse accident. Born on August 6, 1960, in Anaconda, MT, to John and Maiben Drescher. He lived a life full of passion, creativity, and love for his family.

Jack worked as a union boilermaker. During his time working he worked all over the country and traveling the world. Jack was known for his craftsmanship and dedication to his work. He took pride in welding and building various projects, instilling in his family a deep appreciation for hard work and creativity. What brought Jack the most joy was his family, riding his horses, hunting, and fishing up at Fort Peck Lake with his son Brad.

Jack adored his grandsons, and his granddaughter Maiben, whom he affectionately called his “little girlfriend.” She flipped his world upside down. Before his passing, he was in the middle of building her a barn, a testament to their special bond.

Jack’s warmth and honesty touched everyone who knew him. Those that knew Jack loved him for his willingness to help, sarcasm, and his colorful language! He was always a phone call away to offer a helping hand. He loved when people would stop by in the morning to catch up and drink a cup of coffee. He had a special bond with his dog, Drake, who was a constant companion. Those two loved riding around in the tractor together, whether it was plowing snow or feeding the horses.

In 2023, Jack met Karen Dauenhauer. Although their time together was too short, they shared many special memories, and his family is forever grateful for the love she showed him.

Jack is survived by his son Brad (Ashley) Drescher, granddaughter Maiben; his 5 stepchildren; Scott, Shelly, Chad, Kayla, Brittany & their families; grandsons Lincoln, Anders & Wilder Yarn; his sister Amelie (Pat) Lorello, numerous nieces and nephews, along with many cousins. He was also cherished by many friends who will deeply miss him.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held in the warmer months of 2025, date to be announced.

As Jack would say, this is “a kick in the nuts” to all of us.

He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
