Jim ‘’Boo’’ Bubash Jr.

Jim “Boo” Bubash Jr. 62, passed away after a short but fierce battle with cancer on January 20th, with his sisters and best friend by his side. He was born on August 14,1963 to parents Carole and Tom Brebrick and James Bubash Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Anaconda attending local schools and graduating from Anaconda High in 1981 where he formed friendships that lasted his lifetime. Jim was a fan of all sports and a HUGE ride or die fan of the NY Jets, something that he got a lot of ribbing for, but always took in stride. He was an avid golfer and looked forward to his yearly float trip with the boys. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Boo you walked away with a good laugh and a new friend. People will never forget his annual “BOO-Bash” from which stories are still being circulated to this day.  His family meant the world to him, he was a devoted son and he was especially close to his sister Gayle, to which she attributes any grey hairs on her head.

Jim held various jobs but his main employment was his 30 year career with the Montana State Prison. After retirement he wanted to stay busy by doing what he called “fun jobs” and he dabbled in the art of dough making at Gallicano’s Pizza and as a greenskeeper at the Old Works golf course.

Jim is survived by James Bubash Sr., sisters Gayle Stanley (Mike), Kimberly Dawson (Tracey), and Linda Charanza, brother Pat Brebrick (Carolyn). Nephews Quinn DeMarois and Jared Brebrick and nieces Maddie and Cara DeMarois, Nicole Brebrick, Dana Furtado and Erin Romano (Salvatore). Uncles Bob Bubash (Linda), Larry Massey and Aunts Marian Thornton and Jean Lee, Cousins Leah and Frank Moreni, Julie Shelton and Keith Massey, Tanya Wheeler, Keli Smith, Kerri Thomas. He is also survived by a large, tight knit group of lifelong friends and his special little sidekick Jet and numerous great nephews and nieces and 2nd cousins.

Proceeded in death by his parents Carole and Tom Brebrick, Grandparents Mike and Ann Poli and Ted and Helen Bubash. Brother Tommy Brebrick, Brother in law Slick Charanza, Uncles and Aunts Rex and Marlene Lewis, Chris Massey, and Al Lee. Cousins Laura and Tom Dewing and Mike Lewis.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 31st at 10:30 at the Holy Family church with a luncheon following. Donations may be made in Jim’s name to donors choice.

We love you Boo!
