Joann Kregosky

Joann Kregosky
Joann Kregosky was born to Bernice (Ryan) and Joseph P. Kregosky in Anaconda, Montana, on July 12, 1947. A “Goosetown” kid, she attended Saint Peter’s Grade School and graduated from Anaconda Central High School in 1965.
Joann majored in education at the University of Montana, earning her degree in 1971. Shortly after graduation, she and Stewart Dall married; they later divorced. Following her marriage to George Baumann in 1979, the couple resided in Salt Lake City. They eventually relocated to Missoula, where they shared many happy years together. Joann began working for the University of Montana Continuing Education Department in 1982, retiring 33 years later.
She enjoyed gardening and outings with dear friends, neighbors, and family. She particularly cherished reunions with the “Magnificent Seven,” her high school friendship group. Joann passed peacefully on February 3, 2026, at her cousin’s home in Missoula. She requested no service, but please do a kindness in her name.
She is survived by members of her late husband George’s family, a cousin in Canada, and several Montana cousins and their children, all of whom were dear to her.
