John Clair Ford

John Clair Ford passed away unexpectedly in London, KY on February 11, 2024, where he had recently moved to be with his sister Lisa and her husband Eric so that they could offer him a hand-up in his life after a recent leg amputation.
John was born on October 26, 1962, in Anaconda, MT to John and Constance “Connie” Ford. He was the only boy of six children.
John graduated from Anaconda High School in 1981. He then went to Phoenix Institute of Technology and received a degree in computer-aided drafting. John married Leslie Hainlin in 1984 and they had two children together, Melissa and Robert “Cole.” Although they didn’t remain married, they always had a mutual love and respect for one another.
John had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed going fishing and spending time in the mountains. John was most at peace in solitude. He also enjoyed writing, drawing, reading Louis L’Amour books, and coming up with ideas for projects.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Connie Ford and his sister Debbie Culbertson.
John is survived by his children, Melissa (Mike) Huotte, Robert “Cole” Ford and their sister Amanda who held a special place in his heart; grandchildren, Kassidy (Austin) Scholler, Lindsay Trainor, and McKenzy Trainor. He is also survived by his sisters, Rose (Ron) Plumb, Peggie (Scott) Barclay, Jeanette Navarro, and Lisa (Eric) Armstead; nieces and nephews, Jay, Billy, Vicki, Jennifer, Beverly, Jessie, Jamie, Stephanie, Eric, Vanessa, Felicia and Andy and their families. He is also survived by his life-long best friend, Bill Schmitt.
There will not be services at this time. The family will spread John’s ashes privately at a later date.
In honor of John be sure to tell and show the people you love just how much you love them. Let go of grudges and hard feelings; offer grace and forgiveness. Say the things in your heart. Don’t go forward thinking there is always tomorrow because tomorrow may never come.
