Kristi DeShae Pflug

Kristi DeShae Pflug
Kristi DeShae Pflug (née Hipp) of Anaconda, MT, passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 54. Born June 4, 1970, in Lubbock, Texas, to Jackie and Kathy Hipp, Kristi was a National Merit Scholar and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1988. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and French (Summa Cum Laude) from Baylor University and later completed a Master’s in Forestry at the University of Montana, where she co-authored a peer-reviewed scientific journal article.
Kristi married Jeffrey Pflug in 1997, and together they raised two sons, Sequoia and Denali, whom she homeschooled through high school. A devout Christian, Kristi participated in mission trips to Mongolia, the Netherlands, and Siberia shortly after the fall of the USSR, using her multilingual skills to build God’s Kingdom. She loved animals, especially dogs and horses, and took pride in restoring her family’s 1911 Craftsman home.
Despite declining health, Kristi remained steadfast in her dedication to family, justice, integrity, and faith in Jesus Christ. She eagerly anticipated the adventure of Heaven and a new body, perfected in God’s love.
She is survived by her grandmother (Bobbie Love), father, husband, sons, brother (Jeffrey Hipp), dog (Willow), and cat (Aslan).
Friends and Family are invited to celebrate Kristi’s life at 3:30 pm on Friday, January 17 at the Gateway Christian Fellowship Assembly of God, located at 300 E 4th St. in Anaconda, MT. If interested, you may honor the memory of Kristi by donating to either Worldvision or Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in her name.
