Michael “Mike” Lawrence Curran Sr.

Mike’s Lord & Savior welcomed him into his loving arms on Friday July 26th. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. Mike was born September 18th, 1952, in Anaconda, MT to Thelma Curran. He grew up in Anaconda and raised his family in Butte, MT.
He married the love of his life, Nancy, on August 31st, 1973. Last August they celebrated a loving marriage of 50 years. He was a dedicated father, devoted grandfather and cherished great grandfather.
Mike earned an associate degree from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College. He started his working career with the Anaconda Company. This led him into a career as a proud union (local 41) pipefitter, which he passed onto his daughter. He spent his final working years traveling the country working on nuclear power houses, with Nancy constantly at his side.
His faith & family were important to him but so were the outdoors and sports. He was an avid outdoorsman who passed his love and knowledge of hunting onto his children, grandchildren and friends. These memories will be cherished for a lifetime. His greatest hunting accomplishments were his two trophy bighorn sheep, supporting his wife, Nancy, in getting her trophy elk and his son, Michael, in getting his trophy bighorn sheep.
He loved his entire family more than anything and treasured attending his grandchildren’s sporting events along with all family functions. His passion for sports was evident in his trips with his daughter and his Saturdays spent at Grizz games with his family.
Mike is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Curran; three daughters, Anna (Fred) Wendt, Michelle (Jonathan Price) Curran, Cynthia (Frank) Curran-Takeshorse; seven grandchildren, Kevin (Melanie) Wendt, McKenna (Allen Rogers) Wendt, Mike Touhey, Donovan Descharme-Curran, Samuel Descharme-Curran, Elizabeth Descharme-Curran, Larry Debus; seven great grandchildren, Dean Wendt, Castti Wendt, Bridgett Touhey, Maycie Descharme-Curran, Hadley Ellington, Arayia Ellington, Iris Lansing; siblings, brother Sean (Birdie) Curran and sister Colleen (Paul) Boucher; and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was predeceased by his son, Michael Curran Jr.; mother, Thelma Curran; and brother, Pat Curran.
