A new CASA of Southwest Montana volunteer is sworn in

Nikole Bonato was officially sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer of CASA of Southwest Montana. The ceremony was held at the Deer Lodge County Courthouse. 

Judge Dayton conducted the swearing in of Ms. Bonato. Joining her was Craig Sweet, Executive Director of the Anaconda Family Resource Center, and Shannon Parker, Program Director of CASA of Southwest Montana.  

The CASA program is continuing to expand its reach into area communities by recruiting more volunteer advocates to make a meaningful impact in the lives of abused and neglected children in the foster care system. CASA of Southwestern Montana serves children in Deer Lodge, Powell and Granite counties. CASA volunteers provide a voice for children and advocate for their best interests.  

“Our goal is to empower volunteers to make a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children who need it the most,” said Anaconda Family Resource Executive Director, Craig Sweet. “Becoming a CASA volunteer is not just a commitment; it is an opportunity to bring positive change to a child’s story.” 

CASA volunteers play a crucial role in advocating for the best interests of children navigating the complexities of the foster care system, Sweet said..

“Through their dedication and support, these volunteers become a consistent and caring presence in a child’s life, ensuring their needs and wishes are heard,” Sweet said.
