The first page of the U.S. Marshals Service's Wanted poster for Michael Paul Brown shows that the USMS is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his capture or arrest.

The Wanted poster's second page discusses what he is wanted for, and includes the tip line phone number, 1-877-WANTED2 (926-8332), website, usmarshals.gov/tips, and QR Code for reporting tips to law enforcement.

The U.S. Marshals Service has increased the reward it is offering for information leading to the arrest or capture of Michael Paul Brown, suspected of shooting four people to death inside the Owl Bar in Anaconda on Friday, Aug. 1.

In a post Monday morning on X (formerly Twitter), the U.S. Marshals Service announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to Brown’s arrest or capture. That is an increase from the $7,500 reward that was offered as of Sunday morning.

The post included his U.S. Marshals Service's Wanted poster: “Michael Paul BROWN. WANTED FOR: Quadruple Homicide in Anaconda, MT. USMS REWARD: Up to $10,000.”

The Wanted poster lists Brown’s date of birth as Oct. 31, 1979. He is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, 5’10” tall and weighing 170 lbs.

It goes on to state the following information:

“The USMS D/MT is seeking the public’s assistance with locating BROWN. On August 1, 2025, local law enforcement responded to an active shooter at The Owl Bar in Anaconda, MT at 10:30 a.m. that left four people dead and the gunman, later identified as BROWN at large. Shortly following, law enforcement located BROWN in a vehicle developing into a pursuit. BROWN eluded law enforcement and the vehicle was located and abandoned. BROWN was last seen heading west of Anaconda on Stumptown Road. BROWN served in the U.S. Army (2001-2005), deployed to Iraq (2004-2005), and Montana National Guard (2006-2009). BROWN is believed to be armed and dangerous.”

It states to report any information to the U.S. Marshals: usmarshals.gov/tips or 1-877-WANTED2 (926-8332).
