Robert Dean Mann (Robbie) August 25, 1988 – September 16, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Mann on September 16, 2024, at the age of 36. A beloved son, brother, and friend, Robbie touched the lives of many with his vibrant spirit and compassionate heart.

Born in Butte, Montana, and later relocating to Anaconda, Robbie spent his formative years surrounded by the beauty and ruggedness of the Montana landscape. There, he developed a deep love for nature, adventure, and hard work. He dedicated many years to working with Grosvold Logging, a family that became some of his greatest mentors and closest friends.

Robbie’s true passion was music. Throughout school, he nurtured and grew his love for music, learning as many musical instruments as possible. He had an endless love for all genres, and his musical talent was nothing short of remarkable. Robbie’s music was a reflection of his soul—expressive, dynamic, and full of heart. He found joy in sharing his gift with others, whether at a gathering with friends or around a campfire, always encouraging those around him to join in. Robbie graduated from Anaconda High School in 2006 and entered the workforce as a Jack of all trades. His work ethic was unmatched.

Robbie had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and his genuine interest in others left a lasting impact on everyone he met. A teacher of all subjects, he was known for his infectious laughter and world-famous hugs. He was our biggest cheerleader and our greatest encourager. Robbie’s greatest pride and joy were his three sons: Chad, Derrick, and David. Although life took him down different paths, his love for his children was always evident. By choosing mothers who are dedicated and loving, he gave his boys the foundation they need. Their mothers provide the care, strength, and support that allow his sons to thrive, and for that, Robbie was always grateful.

He is survived by his sons Chad (Jackie Smith), Derrick and David (Brandi Bailey); grandparents Connie Cropsey and Eugene Mann; his mother, Rhonda Mann; his sisters Belinda (Travis) Martin, Cassandra Mann, Candace Dorscher, Jessica Dorscher, Nicole (Tony) Salazar, and Mckenzie Galle; his chosen father figure, Tim Galle Jr; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his childhood best friends Chad Marker and Dale Richards.

Robbie’s generosity knew no bounds. He was the kind of person who would give anything to help someone in need, no matter his own circumstances. In his final moments, Robbie’s selflessness was evident as he made the ultimate gift of organ donation, saving the lives of five others and ensuring his legacy of kindness and giving would continue.

A celebration of Robbie’s life will be held on October 26, 2024, at 12 PM at 152 Gold Coin Lane. Though the event will be held at a private residence, all who wish to honor Robbie’s memory are welcome. The celebration will take place in a semi-outdoor setting, so please dress accordingly. Following the service, a luncheon will be provided, and we invite all who attend to bring along their musical instruments to join in a heartfelt gathering around the campfire, sharing music, stories, and the warmth of community.

Robbie left this world too soon, but his light will continue to shine through the lives he touched. We will forever remember his warmth, his laughter, and the love he so freely gave.
