Schools send out four-day week exploratory survey
Anaconda Public Schools are mulling the idea of going to a four-day week for the 2024-2025 school year, but before going any further with the idea they're asking members of the public to share their opinions first.
According to the survey – which is linked on the district's website, https://www.anacondaschools.org/article/1316437 – "The Anaconda School District is seeking community input on the feasibility of implementing a 4-Day School Week for the 2024-25 school year. Please read the questions below and submit your response. More information will come if this is something that the community would like for us to explore; for now we would like to know if it is even worth the discussion and investment to explore the idea. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey."
The survey requires input of an email address and includes the following items:
• Are you For or Against the implementation of a 4-Day School Week at all Anaconda Schools?
• Please check the appropriate box that aligns with your age so the district can properly identify certain demographics of the respondents (under 18, 19 to 40, 41 to 65 and 65 or older).
• Please check the appropriate box that best describes you: Student, Parent/Guardian (student in school), Community Member (no students in school), Staff Member (currently at Anaconda Schools) or Other.
• And please indicate your rationale as to why you are For or Against the implementation of a 4-Day School Week.
This is a developing story and the Anaconda Leader will have more information as it becomes available.
