State Historic Preservation Office to offer presentations in Anaconda on March 27

The State Historic Preservation Office will be presenting in Anaconda next week.

Join Kate Hampton, Community Preservation Coordinator and Lindsay Tran, Historic Architecture Specialist on Wednesday, March 27 at the Montana Hotel (200 Main St.) as they share information about the National Historic Register for both residential and commercial properties. Here is the schedule:

• 3 p.m. – Residential Focused Presentation

- What is the National Historic Register? What does it mean to be listed on the National Register?

- How do I know if my home has historic value?

- Resources to research the history of residential properties.

- Information on the residential historic sign program.

• 6 p.m. – Commercial Focused Presentation

- What is the National Historic Register? What does it mean to be listed on the National Register?

- Resources to research the history of commercial properties.

- Historic Tax Credit opportunities for businesses.

- Information regarding Secretary of Interior standards for historic properties.

Join us to gain insight, resources, and opportunities regarding historic properties both residential and commercial.
