Woman gets five years, two suspended, after her deferred sentence is revoked

An Anaconda woman appeared in 3rd Judicial District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 28 where her deferred sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs was revoked. 

Raven Lopez was sentenced to a five-year commitment to the Montana Department of Corrections with two of those years suspended after the court revoked her three-year deferred sentence from December of 2023 for a felony count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. She was further ordered to pay all fines and fees as ordered by the court, and to abide by the terms and conditions of the suspended portion of her sentence.

According to the petition to revoke the defendant's deferred sentence that was filed by her probation officer, Lopez was arrested in December of 2024 for criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, that in the months of October, November and December 2024 her alcohol monitoring device showed nine positive results, that at the time of her arrest she was in possession of alcohol and that she had failed to show up for nine of her 25 scheduled urinalysis tests.
