Leader wins award at newspaper convention

The Anaconda Leader received an award at the 2023 Montana Newspaper Association (MNA) convention, held on Friday and Saturday, June 16-17 in Helena. 

In the 2023 Better Newspaper Contest, Leader Editor James S. Rosien earned second place for Best Feature Story for his Dec. 21, 2022 article "'Gypsy Soul: Memoirs of a Hippie Kid' tracks local therapist's 'terrifying but hilarious' childhood, and offers lessons on enduring through traum," on author Gypsy Soul Ray's book about what it was like being raised by hippies.
