Richard “Dick” Walter Wilson, Aka “Goobs”, of Anaconda, Montana, was born on October 25, 1948, and passed on October 12, 2023.

“Dick” was a wonderful human born in Deer Lodge, Montana to David Maurice Wilson & Claire Camille Hansen. He graduated from Powell County High School in June 1967 and enlisted in the Air Force December 1967. Dick served his country for 8 years in Vietnam, Alaska, North Carolina, he was honorably discharged on April 25, 1975.

Dick worked at Montana State Prison both the old prison and new prison and until he found his passion working in the recreation department with patients at the Montana State Hospital.

He met the love of his life Sandy Wilson while working at Warm Springs and everyone knew they would be together forever. They married with a great Irish wedding on St. Paddy’s Day 1995 and made their home in Anaconda, MT.

Dick enjoyed many things but most of all enjoyed his beer rides in the big hole valley with his lovely wife taking in Montana’s finest beauty.

Dick was an avid sports fan and cheerleader of many, he loved the Green Bay Packers, New York Yankees & The Montana Grizzlies or whatever ball game was on ESPN or even watching the Sportscenter highlights. He always loved a game when the Packers played the Cowboys knowing his loved ones would heckle him or bow their head in defeat.

Dick was a family man and raised 3 boys who live in Oregon & Minnesota with their families and enjoyed his grand children when they would come to visit.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents David & Claire, his brother Teddy Wilson & his granddaughter Jasmine Wilson.
