Joyce Elaine Wilson Beasley

Joyce Elaine Wilson Beasley, age 71, of Anaconda, MT, died unexpectedly following complications after surgery in Killeen, TX, surrounded by her husband and children on Friday, July 25, 2025. 

Joyce was born on November 27th, 1953, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to LeRoy and Jean Wilson. In 1960, she moved to Anaconda, MT, and graduated from Anaconda High School in 1971. Joyce’s passion and faithfulness led her to enlist in the United States Army in August 1973. At just 20 years old, she was among the last female soldiers to serve in the Women’s Army Corps, a testament to her strength and determination. 

During her military service, she met and later married Jerry F. Beasley Sr. on June 14th, 1975. In August 1976, the couple discharged from the Army and returned to Montana. Together, they were blessed with six wonderful children and built a life of deep love, adventure, and loyalty. 

Joyce had a great love for children and fulfilled her dream to own and operate a childcare and preschool center for nearly 25 years. In 2019, she retired and traveled the country alongside Jerry to visit their children and grandchildren. 

She enjoyed crafting, knitting, traveling, and especially studying God’s Word. It was a joy to watch her invite her grandchildren into her creative world as they often crafted and explored along with her. 

Above all, Joyce held a deep love for Jesus. God gave her a servant’s heart, and she loved serving the Lord and His Church in whatever task He gave her. 

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry; children, Jerry Jr. (Jenny), Janet (Daniel) Grogman, Daniel (Cara), Michael, Jonathan (Ashlee), and Joseph (Tami); grandchildren, Alecia (Scott) Sebenaler, Jaedon, Madison (Jordan) Moore, Gracie, Raylynn, Kaia, Elliott, Austin, Zoey, Caden, Joey, Melidee, Keviaya, Meghan and Emilee; great grandchild, Selah Sebenaler; siblings, Lynette Williams, Linda Senner, Barbara Wilson, Sherry Bell, LeRoy (Kathy) Wilson, Stacy LaForge; and extended family. 

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Christian Life Church Killeen Campus. In place of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Blue Star Mothers or her local church, Christian Life Church Killeen Campus in Killeen, TX. 

She will be greatly missed.
